8/28/18 Announcement

Hello! We are looking forward to seeing you and your youth (age 12+) this Thursday at our Parent Meeting and Scholar Kick-Off at 10 am at Enon Baptist Church in the main building! Below are some steps we'd like all of you to take (including past participants) before Thursday so that you are prepared.

We'd like to remind you to please register online if you are ready and haven't already done so. You may visit us for up to 3 weeks before committing to join.

If you have registered online, please be sure to complete your registration by following the instructions in the appropriate document:
Either
OR

In addition, please read the following documents and prepare any questions you may have ahead of time. This will help us to keep our meeting shorter rather than longer. Thank you!

Junior Schedule & Class Descriptions (for parents with children ages 0-11)
Parent Agreement for youth 12+ (Please turn in a signed copy)
Parent Mentoring Agreement for "juniors" (ages 0-11) (Please turn in a signed copy)

Please bring your phone, tablet, or laptop to our meeting so you can plug in passwords and set up accounts as needed with Google, Shutterfly, and our Website. It is preferred that you do this at home before you come if possible.

For parents of "scholars" (youth ages 12+), please review the following and prepare any questions you have ahead of time to be asked at the parent meeting.
You will be approached by the mentors of each scholar project to set up a meeting for a one-on-one mentor session for each of your scholars with each of their mentors in Commonwealth. Please bring your calendar with you to the Parent Meeting so you can arrange a time to meet. Before you meet, you will be expected to review the following documents with your scholar to ensure their understanding of the Behavior Standards and their role as a Scholar in Commonwealth Classes. You will need to turn in a copy of each signed by your Scholar at the Parent Meeting or on or before the first day of Classes (Sep 6).

Code of Conduct Agreement (same as linked in the Instructions to complete your Registration)

For your information, we would like for you to see the Mentor Agreement that each Scholar Mentor signs in agreement with our Board and the families as to their role and duties concerning the student.

Scholar Mentoring Agreement (Scholar Mentors please print and turn in a signed copy Thursday)

I know this seems like a lot, but there are a LOT of blessings that come to your family as you join Commonwealth and it is so worth it! We are not just another home school co-op. Much of this reading and preparation is orienting you to our specific Leadership Education Culture, which brings our educational environment up several notches and really enhances the experience you and your children will have. Thank you for taking the time to educate yourself and prepare! Our time together Thursday will be much more effective as a result.

Sincerely,
Tiffany Campbell, Shannon Bohon & Patti Haines
Leadership Commonwealth Executive Committee
